A Shopify agency for selling in Belgium

A Belgian brand moving to Shopify, or a French brand opening up to Belgium: the country feels close, but it can't be treated as a simple extension of France. Nifty Link builds and adapts Shopify stores for this market, from Brussels to Liège, by way of Antwerp and Ghent.

We are an independent agency based in Paris and a certified Shopify Partner. Lilian Hermandesse, the founder, runs your project from the first conversation to go-live, in French or English.

02

One country, several languages: the real issue for your store

Belgium has three official languages: Dutch, French and German. A store in French only misses much of the country, especially Flanders. Here's what we put in place:

  • A true version per language. Product pages, collections, emails and help pages, not just the menu.
  • SEO per language. Each version has its own addresses, tags and keywords. A Flemish shopper doesn't always search like a Dutch one.
  • Proofread translations. The project is run in French or English. Dutch copy comes from your team or a translator, and we integrate it properly.

All this runs through Shopify Markets, which lets you adapt language, prices and content by market.

03

The payment and delivery options Belgian customers expect

  • Bancontact. This is the main local payment method. Shopify Payments offers it to customers located in Belgium, so it should be activated and shown from the product page.
  • Pay in instalments. Depending on your average basket, a solution such as Klarna can complement the offer.
  • Delivery. Home or pick-up point, with times and costs shown clearly before payment.
  • VAT. Selling to consumers in another EU country has VAT implications. We configure the store according to your accountant's advice.

A real example: Oxhoo in France, Belgium and Switzerland

Oxhoo sells point-of-sale equipment to professionals. We designed its B2B store on Shopify with a multi-country journey across France, Belgium and Switzerland, and local currencies. This kind of project shows that a neighbouring market is prepared in the site's structure, not added afterwards.

05

Already have a store in Belgium?

We can take it over without starting from scratch. A migration to Shopify from WooCommerce, PrestaShop or Magento keeps your addresses and rankings through redirects prepared in advance. For sales to professionals, we also build Shopify B2B stores. And Shopify SEO takes over after go-live.

Budget, timing and follow-up from Paris

A store costs €1,500 to €6,000 depending on features, design, migration and the tools to connect. Several languages naturally take more work. Allow about 4 weeks for a well-scoped project, and 8 to 12 weeks for custom work with integrations. Our Shopify pricing guide details the subscription and apps to plan for.

We work remotely, with video calls and access to the store as it's built. Brussels is about 1.5 hours from Paris by train, so we can come for the kick-off. The first conversation is a free 30-minute audit. More than 6 years of experience, more than 50 projects delivered and a 5.0/5 rating on Google.

Frequently asked questions

answered.

Do you need a Dutch version to sell in Belgium?

If you're targeting the whole country, yes. A store in French only misses much of Belgium, especially Flanders. We set up a true version per language, ranked separately.

Does Shopify accept Bancontact?

Yes. Shopify Payments offers Bancontact to customers located in Belgium. We activate it and highlight it in the buying journey.

Can a French brand open up to Belgium without creating another store?

Yes, in most cases. Shopify Markets lets you adapt language, prices and content from a single store. VAT should be checked with your accountant.

Are you based in Belgium?

No, our agency is in Paris. We run projects by video call and can come to Brussels for the kick-off.

How much does a Shopify store for Belgium cost?

€1,500 to €6,000 depending on features, design, migration and the tools to connect, excluding the Shopify subscription and apps.
